One In A Hundred #3

Pink nail polish and flowery skirts with lacy edges. Blue eyes, crop tops, tanned skin with a sunshine glow. Tied shoe laces and then go. Running through the rain, mud, sand. Sunburnt shoulders and dirt streaked faces but we’re laughing because the air is sweet on our tongues and it tastes like adventure. Here we’re going to dance like no one is watching. Singing – no screaming lyrics into the night. Ice cream melting onto the pages we are reading. Our messy plans written on scattered paper. We’re so ready. There’s a future out there as bright as New York lights.
